For Referring Professionals

The Maine Elder Law Firm is proud to offer a comprehensive range of legal services to address the needs of older individuals as well as the needs of individuals with disabilities. Our services include:

  • Estate planning
  • Powers of attorney and health directives
  • Guardianships and conservatorships
  • Long-term care planning
  • Asset protection planning
  • Special needs planning
  • Probate and estate administration

All of these areas of the law intersect in some way with health care, finances, government benefits, or all three. For this reason, many of our clients come to us through referrals from other attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, insurance specialists, wealth management groups, and trust companies, as well as from health care providers and long-term care facilities. Our attorneys regularly coordinate with these other professionals in order to address the issues of concern to our mutual clients.

We are grateful for the trust our professional colleagues place in us, and we work hard to be worthy of it. If you are a professional who is considering referring a client to us, we want to help you know what to expect from us.

At the outset of our work with a new client, we schedule an initial consultation and send out a short worksheet. Many professionals with whom we partner prefer to download these materials and go over them with the client in order to introduce them to our firm. Once clients are connected with us, we continue to communicate with referring professionals as authorized by the clients in order to streamline services.

Our goal is to provide clients with the legal services they need in partnership with other professionals they already know and trust in order to seamlessly and thoroughly provide for their legal, financial, and health care needs.
